Texas42
A dominoes game built for browsers and late-night rounds.

Texas 42 is the partnership dominoes game I grew up around. I wanted to capture the feel of a four-player table in a web app — bidding, trumps, marks, and all — with bot opponents good enough to practice against.
The trickiest part wasn't the rules engine — it was the AI. Bidding in 42 is a conversation: every bid signals something to your partner and bluffs something to your opponents. The bots needed to play with intent, not just legality.
You play with a partner bot against East and West bots, hand by hand, tracking marks across the match. Drag-and-drop dominoes and a bid hint panel make it friendly for newcomers without dumbing it down.
Texas42 reminds me that the best side projects come from trying to preserve a real-world experience inside a screen.
